If your progress appears missing right after linking your Steam account, don’t worry — this is usually caused by linking to the wrong account, not by data loss.

Why Did My Progress Disappear?

When linking Steam to a Scopely Account, one of the following may have happened:

  • You linked Steam to a new or empty Scopely Account.

  • You signed into a different Scopely Account email than the one with your progress.

  • Your original progress was never linked to a Scopely Account before connecting Steam.

This does not mean your progress was deleted.

How Account Linking Works

Steam links to a Scopely Account.

If Steam is connected to a different or new Scopely Account, it will load that account instead of your original progress.

Your original progress remains saved on the account it was originally bound to.

What Should I Do?

If your progress is missing after linking:

  • Do not continue playing on the new account.

  • Contact Support and provide:

    • Your old Player ID (if available)

    • Your Steam ID

    • The email used for your Scopely Account

    • Any purchase receipts (if applicable)

Our team can verify and help restore the correct account.

Is This a Login Problem?

If you cannot access your Scopely Account at all (wrong password, email issues, etc.), that is a login issue.

If the issue started specifically after linking Steam, this is an account-linking issue, not a login failure.
